Towner County Medical Center Breaks Ground

Towner County Medical Center in Cando, North Dakota, achieved an important milestone on September 16th, breaking ground on its new facility. The ceremony was attended by Stroudwater Capital Partners CEO Brian Haapala, U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer, members of the Towner Medical Center staff and board, community members, and other key project partners.   

Slated for completion in 2024, the new 76,197-sq-ft facility will add 30 skilled nursing beds, 8 acute care inpatient beds, and five basic care beds. Additionally, the building will house a bolstered primary care and specialty care provider clinic, an expanded emergency department, a surgical suite with pre and post-operative recovery beds, an infusion therapy space, a state-of-the-art imaging lab, and a reimagined physical respiratory and cardiac therapy space. Once opened, it is estimated to bring 95 new jobs to the community.
